Veranda launches new platform for upskilling in IT industry

Veranda Learning Solutions launched its new learning platform, Veranda Acacia, on Thursday. This platform aims to bridge the employability skills gap in India’s IT industry and has signed up its first set of delivery centers across 25 locations.

According to Veranda, the Acacia Phase 1 programs align with the standards set by NASSCOM in collaboration with the industry, and are approved by the Government of India. The programs have a strong focus on enhancing the learners’ employability quotient through a curriculum that is 100% practice-oriented and industry-aligned.

The Acacia programs cater to the emerging needs of the IT industry and are offered to both undergraduate and postgraduate students at partner centers and institutional campuses. There are a total of six career tracks available, with three in Phase 1 and three in Phase 2. These tracks include Full Stack Web Development, Cloud and DevOps, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Mobile App Development, and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. The learners are trained in employment-aligned tech stacks and are also provided with placement support.

Kalpathi S. Suresh, Chairman cum Executive Director of Veranda Learning Solutions, stated that the aim of Veranda Acacia is to bridge the current skilled workforce gap in the tech sector. They plan to deliver high-quality, affordable, and experienced instructor-led courses in tier 2 and tier 3 towns within the next 12 months. Suresh believes that this will enable learners to quickly integrate into the industry.

Himanshu Dandotiya, the business head of Veranda Acacia, mentioned that they have specifically designed these programs to make fresh graduates work-ready and deployable. He expressed encouragement at the quick sign-up of the first 25 centers and anticipates significant growth in this number.
