AT&T & Ericsson Launch Massive IoT Marketplace

In a major step for digital innovation, AT&T and Ericsson have officially launched their new IoT Marketplace, a cloud‑based batteryplay in ecommerce platform designed to radically simplify how businesses adopt and monetize Internet of Things (IoT) services.

The platform is built on Ericsson’s Digital Experience Platform, integrating its Catalog Manager and Order Care systems, and runs on Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure. This architecture supports a unified, secure, and intelligent interface – enabling companies to browse a full catalog of IoT products, manage orders, and handle billing with greater ease.

For industries like transportation, manufacturing, and healthcare, this could be a game‑changer. AT&T now claims that ordering fleet management or sensor-based services can go from taking hours to just minutes, helping smaller businesses join the IoT ecosystem more efficiently.

According to Cameron Coursey, Vice President of Connected Solutions at AT&T, this new marketplace isn’t just a product catalog it represents “agility and scalability” that will democratize IoT adoption, especially among small and medium-sized companies. Meanwhile, Anand Akundi of Ericsson notes that the system’s microservices basis enables rapid innovation and robust interactions across multiple digital touchpoints.
